Dezeen Showroom: US lighting brand Pablo Designs has launched a modular pendant lighting system called Sky Dome, which is designed to emulate natural light.
The Sky Dome pendant light is composed of spun aluminium and pressed wood shade reflectors that emanate light.
The aluminium shades can be finished in matt black or matt white, while the wood domes are finished in walnut or white oak.
The lights can be used to both uplight and downlight spaces thanks to the double-sided LEDs, which provide up to 1,250 lumens of warm light that disperses in all directions.
The lights include a dim-to-warm feature that allows them to be fully dimmable and offers a glare-free illumination.
According to Pablo Designs, the LEDs use only 18 watts of power, which makes them 90 per cent more efficient than halogen light sources and 40 per cent more efficient than CFLs.
The lights, which are available in three sizes, are designed to offer a sleek and modern lighting system for residential and hospitality settings.
