Ariana Grande Debuted Bangs in the Most Low-Key Way Possible — See Video

It’s been a long time since Ariana Grande has had bangs. And no, I’m not talking about curtain bangs — I mean legit fringe that hits at least some of the middle of the forehead. I think it was 2016 last time she had blunt ones that fully hid everything between her brows and her hairline, so getting bangs again would be grounds for a hair-centric Instagram grid post. And yet, Grande pretended they were no big deal by not so much as mentioning them in a new R.E.M. Beauty TikTok.

Grande has been on a TikTok tutorial kick lately. Last week, she posted a quick clip regarding her brand’s undereye products, and today, she shared a new video in which she shows fans how she does her flawless cat-eye. It looks like it might have been filmed at the same time as her last tutorial — her shirt and earrings are the same — but one thing is noticeably different: the addition of wispy new bangs.

Grande is seen applying At The Borderline Eyeliner Marker with remarkable prowess as an audio clip from The Office plays. She gives us a closeup of her French manicure and finger tattoos in the process, but you have to pay close attention to catch a few glimpses at the fresh fringe. 

Are they clip-ins? Did she really cut bangs while filming Wicked? Are bangs a part of Glinda’s story arc? Who knows! We can only hope we get a better look at the cute new ‘do sooner rather than later.
