Last week, No More Heroes III‘s launch on Switch spelled the potential end of a series that first debuted on Wii back in 2007. Its creator, Goichi ‘Suda51’ Suda, bid a fond farewell to the games on social media on Friday, thanking fans and noting that he hopes they’ll enjoy “Travis Touchdown’s final battle.”

With work on No More Heroes all wrapped up, development studio Grasshopper Manufacture has naturally got the ball rolling with new projects, and during a special launch live stream hosted by IGN Japan, Suda spoke about what’s coming next (thanks, VGC):

“The broad answer is we already have a lot of products that are in development and over the next 10 years we have three original IPs that we’re working on and we have already planned out.

So you can definitely look forward to a lot of new, interesting original IPs from Grasshopper. We also of course have other plans and are working hard on them to bring them to fruition.”

Going further, he also touched upon projects he’d “love” to work on given the chance. Looks like he’s a bit of a Marvel fan:

“But [in terms of] the kind of things I’d love to do, I’d also love to work with Marvel on a Shatterstar or Deadpool game, something sort of Grasshopper-y like that. Maybe a Quicksilver title of some sorts. So, Marvel, you know.”

It’s not just video games that Suda’s interested in, though. Just last month, the No More Heroes creator spoke about his hopes to bring the series to film or TV – apparently, one proposal came very close to being a reality at one stage, but sadly never entered production.
