The Asus ROG Phone 7 and ROG Phone 7 were unveiled last week, setting a new benchmark for mobile gaming on a smartphone. However, the Asus ROG Ally takes things one step further, delivering a PC gaming experience or something akin to it on a handled console.
The Asus ROG Ally was unveiled earlier this year to compete with the Steam Deck. And now, Asus has confirmed that the ROG Ally launch is just around the corner. The company recently took to Twitter to tease a possible timeline for the launch of the Asus ROG Ally.
Asus ROG Ally Release Date
As per the tweet, the worldwide release of the ROG Ally might take place sooner than expected. The Asus ROG Ally has already been listed on American retailer Best Buy. Customers in North America can sign up for notifications when the ROG Ally will go on sale through Best Buy.

The tweet only mentions a global launch, so we can assume that Asus ROG Ally will be released in India sometime in the future. It is worth noting that Valve’s Steam Deck never made its debut in India, so it’ll be exciting to see the ROG Ally on Indian shores.
Asus ROG Ally Specifications
Asus’ handled console is powered by a custom AMD Ryzen APU with the combination of a Zen4 CPU and an RDNA3 GPU. Linus Sebastian of Linus Tech Tips recently did a brief Asus ROG Ally review, where he noted that the device could deliver twice the performance as the Steam Deck at 35W.
Additionally, the ROG Ally sports a 7-inch Full HP (1080p) display with a 16:9 aspect ratio. The screen also boasts a brightness of 500 nits and supports a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. We also know that the ROG Ally will run Windows 11 with some custom Asus software on top of it.
