PUBG Mobile has launched a new website dedicated to Esports tournament licensing. The portal is intended to simplify the process of setting up and managing all levels of competitive esports tournaments.
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds or PUBG Mobile now has a dedicated website that promises to streamline the process for individuals and organizations to apply for an official tournament license. The website is supposed to be a one-stop shop organize a PUBG Mobile Esports tournament.
PUBG Mobile Tournament Licensing For All Sizes Of Esports Events
The newly launched website has four tiers. Organizers can choose any of these tiers throughout the application process depending on the intended size of the esports tournament they intend to organize.
Simply put, the PUBG Mobile Tournament licensing is open to all sizes of events; be it a small or local community event or a large professional competition.
Organizers can create an account on the website, enter details about the event, and upload relevant documents. Once submitted, organizers will be able to view updates regarding the status of their applications.
Tournament organizers and amateur players can level up to the Professional level via these licensed tournaments. Moreover, they can secure their spot in the PUBG Mobile Pro League qualifiers.
Tencent has assured that the licensing website will simplify and promote the organization of PUBG MOBILE Esports competitions. Additionally, this platform will also give organizers a chance to work with multiple sponsors to host better tournaments and provide a better experience for viewers.
Is PUBG Mobile Tournament Possible In India?
PUBG Mobile was banned by the Indian government back in September 2020. The administration has refused to remove the ban, which means the game and the associated esports opportunities continue to remain officially inaccessible in India.
The popular battle royale game was banned by the government under Section 69A of the IT Act. Concerns about the data privacy of users and even national security were cited as reasons for the ban, which continues to remain in effect today.
