Another week has passed, with plenty of Nintendo-related news that’s kept us intrigued. There were our reviews for games like The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles and NEO: The World Ends With You, Streets of Rage 4’s DLC finally arrived on Switch, Monster Hunter Rise got awesome Okami-themed DLC, and Nintendo says it absolutely hasn’t forgotten about Animal Crossing: New Horizons; yes there were also new games for Switch Online. There were some lighter moments too, including one StreetPass fan’s attempts to get hits in New York, and some rather freaky box art for Super Meat Boy.
There was plenty going on, so it’s time to chill out and discuss our weekend gaming plans. A few members of the Nintendo Life team have done just that below, so feel free to give our entries a read and then join in with your own via our comment section. Enjoy!

Like, I suspect, plenty of others I’ll be spending a decent amount of time with The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles this week; I finished the first chapter and it’s been fantastic so far. I still have a long way to go in Skyward Sword HD so will try to dip in, and I’ll also be jumping back into Monster Hunter Rise to get the Okami-themed content.
On other systems I’ll try out The Ascent, if I can find the time!

This week I’ve been playing a loooooooot of The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles! I know I already reviewed it, but I’m taking a more leisurely stroll through the cases now that I don’t have a deadline. Also, tons of Minecraft — I just joined a friend’s server that’s SO FANCY AND COOL that I have to build a house immediately in order to make sure I can stay there forever.

OBJECTION! Capcom, how am I supposed to play The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles when you fail to provide the European audience with a physical edition? I shake my head at you like the great Herlock Sholmes. At least Samurai Warriors 5, NEO: The World Ends With You and the recent arrival of West of Dead: Path of the Crow physical edition will surely keep me more than busy in front of the almighty Switch.
Game of the week is the extremely accomplished conversion of Skydrift Infinity, not only for providing all the arcade thrills of air racing but for making me long for a new Pilotwings entry down the line.

I gave up with Skyward Sword, folks… Look, I’m not proud of it, but I’ve gone away on my holibobs this weekend, and I want to spend my time playing some familiar comforts. I’ve booted up Super Mario Sunshine again (because it looks like the real sun has said goodbye for now!), and I’ve restarted the wonderful Celeste.
When I get back home, I’ll be booting up The Ascent on the Series X, and will also be exploring the world with Microsoft Flight Simulator. And no, I’m not at all annoyed that the first tech preview of Halo Infinite started just as I left for my holiday..!

I’ve made a trend of beating all Switch Zelda games 100% (apart from the Hyrule Warriors games because I’m not mad) which leaves Skyward Sword. I just recently hit credits but I’ve got a couple more heart containers and a small handful of side quests before I can truly call it complete. It’s been fun revisiting this one, I always appreciated certain aspects of it but I’ve never had a playthrough this enjoyable.
Zelda’s had me holding off from diving into either Ace Attorney or Neo The World Ends With You so I’ll be picking up one of those soon, likely starting with the latter…although with Flight Simulator & the Halo Infinite Preview just hitting Xbox it’s going to be quite a juggle. Too many games!

This weekend I plan on playing more Blaster Master Zero 3. I loved the first two entries, and especially appreciate how simple they are to complete. Beyond that, I recently picked up Creature in the Well on a sale and I’m really curious to see how it plays!
Otherwise, I recently began another playthrough of Metroid: Samus Returns, and will likely try to wrap that this weekend, too. I know some didn’t like that entry as much for being too linear, but I think MercurySteam did a great job with it and I can’t wait to see how they handle Metroid Dread.
As always, thanks for reading! Make sure to leave us a comment below with your gaming choices over the next few days…
