Dezeen Showroom: a bold frame and sheer mesh characterise workplace brand Narbutas‘ D-Chair, created by Italian design studio Baldanzi & Novelli.

Available in both executive chair and task chair models, the D-Chair features a near-transparent mesh from the top of the backrest to the seat, which both gives the item a look of lightness and provides flexible, breathable back support.

According to Narbutas, it also serves to emphasise the structure’s beauty, as the curving lines of the frame converge to form a graphic “V” shape on the back.

Comfort and ergonomics were also a priority in the design of the D-Chair, which boasts a concealed synchro mechanism and a bendy PET plastic frame for intuitive reclining.

The executive version of the D-Chair has a high backrest and both styles come with the option of fixed or adjustable armrests.

There are three colour options for the frame — red, black or light grey — plus six for the mesh, providing the opportunity for diverse combinations.
