If you want to delete a page in a Microsoft Word document that contains text, images, or other material, or if you want to get rid of the blank white page at the end of your article that won’t go anywhere, here’s how. Blank pages in a paper can give the impression that the author is unprofessional to editors and future employers. Microsoft Word has a reputation for leaving blank pages in documents. Before hitting the send button, make sure to uninstall them if at all necessary.

Our aim is to encourage others to avoid the annoyance of blank pages. Since Microsoft Word is the most widely used document creator, we’ve developed the following guide to assist you in deleting certain unwanted pages if they appear in this word processor.

How To Delete A Page In Word with Text and Graphics In Word?

  • Step 1: Go to the page you wish to delete.

Making sure a page is chosen is the first move in removing it. You don’t want to delete the wrong one accidentally. Either scroll to the desired page or use the Go-To feature (Windows: Ctrl + G, MacOS: Option + CMD + G).

When you’ve found the page, select it by clicking or tapping somewhere on it.

  • Step 2: Choose the whole page.

It might seem that you’ve already completed this phase, but it’s necessary so that Word understands that you want to delete the whole page, not just a portion of it. In the Enter Page Number box, type the page in the Go-To feature (Ctrl + G, or Option + CMD + G on a Mac). After that, choose Go To (or press Enter on your keyboard), then Close.

  • Step 3: Delete the page

While Microsoft Word lacks a dedicated page deletion method, we can easily delete the whole page now that we’ve selected it. Click the Delete key after double-checking that you’ve picked the whole tab you intend to delete.

In Word, How Do You Delete A Blank Page?

Most text editors, like Microsoft Word, have an annoying habit of inserting blank pages at the end of your paper for no apparent cause. It’s normally a smart idea to delete those before sending it to your boss (here’s how to remember it if you didn’t) or the printer. You should use a variety of simple ways to help the operation go as quickly as possible.

  • Step 1: Open the Navigation pane to locate the blank page(s). To do so, go to the top menu and choose View, then make sure the Navigation Pane box is checked. A new column should appear on the left-hand side, displaying all the pages in your document. If it doesn’t, make sure the Pages tab is selected.
  • Step 2: Find the blank page(s) you want to delete by scrolling through the list. Choose one and double-click or tap it to go directly to it.
  • Step 3: To make the paragraph markers visible, press Ctrl + Shift + 8 on Windows or Command + 8 on a Mac. This command ensures that paragraph markers act as if there is content on a page, even if there is none.
  • Step 4: Press and drag the paragraph markers or use the arrow keys when holding down the Shift key to select them. The paragraph markers may be removed by pressing the Delete key, but this would also close out the blank page.

If you think you’ll need the paragraph markers again, put them at the bottom of your document. You should adjust the font size of your paragraph markers until you’ve found the right placement. To lock in the font size, click the Home tab and type “1” in the Font Size box. After you’ve made all the requisite changes, keep Ctrl + Shift + 8 on Windows or Command + 8 on a Mac to cover the paragraph markers again.

Delete the Blank Page At The End Of Word: How To Delete A Page In Word

If you’ve ever wondered why the Word paper ends with a blank page that won’t disappear, it’s because the word processor has an end statement that can’t be removed. Depending on where the last line of the text ends, this will result in a blank page appearing at the end of a paragraph.

  • Since the last paragraph cannot be removed, the only way to erase the blank page at the end is to reduce the font size to 1pt.
  • The first thing you’ll want to do is make your Word document reflect the paragraph marks. Click Ctrl + Shift+8 (Command + 8 on Mac) to do so.
  • Choose the paragraph mark now. You won’t be able to do this by running the mouse over it. Place your cursor on the icon and double-click it to pick it.
  • The window for formatting will open. Type “01” in the “Font Size” box and hit the Enter key.
  • The blank page at the end of the document will now be excluded due to the resizing. You can simply remove paragraph labels by pressing Ctrl + Shift + 8 (Command + 8 on Mac)
