Asus has officially teased the launch of the ROG Ally in India. The Asus ROG Ally handheld gaming console was only released globally last month. While rumours suggested that the Ally wouldn’t be hitting the Indian market, new information confirms the launch of the handheld console in the country.
Asus announced the launch of the ROG Ally in India through its official Indian Twitter handle. While the ROG Ally launch in India has been confirmed, no official launch date has been provided, with the tweet reading, “Get ready for gaming that never stops”.
Asus ROG Ally Price in India (Expected)
The Asus ROG Ally price is set at $599 (roughly Rs 49,200) for the base AMD Ryzen Z1 variant. However, upgrading to the AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme chip will set you back $699 (roughly Rs 57,400).
However, the prices of the ROG Ally will cost more in India. According to past leaks, the ROG Ally price in India will start from Rs 71,999 for the base Ryzen Z1 model and Rs 79,999 for the top-end Ryzen Z1 Extreme configuration.
Asus ROG Ally Specifications
The Asus ROG Ally is powered by the Zen 4-based AMD Ryzen Z1 APU, which uses AMD’s RDNA 3 Radeon Graphics, although it can also be purchased with a more power Ryzen Z1 Extreme APU. The ROG Ally comes with 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM clocked at 6400Mhz and a 512GB PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 SSD.
Asus’ handheld console sports a 7-inch FHD+ (1920 x 1080 pixels) IPS LCD panel with 500 nits of peak brightness. The panel features a 120Hz refresh rate and a 7ms response time. Moreover, the display supports Dolby Vision and FreeSync Premium. The Asus ROG Ally runs on Windows 11.
The Asus ROG Ally packs a 40Whr battery that supports 65W charging. It packs stereo speakers Hi-Res Audio and Dolby Atmos support. Connectivity options on the handheld console include Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, a 3.5mm combo audio jack, a USB Type-C port, and a ROG XG Mobile Interface to connect the ROG XG Mobile e-GPU.
