Attack on Titan anime is one of the most popular anime in the world. If you are into action, thrill and, horror, then it is a must-watch! It keeps you glued to the screen and there are nail-biting sequences and something to leave you stunned in every episode. It’s an anime full of surprises and this time the surprise that has gripped fans from all over the world was when the expected date of release for its newest season was changed.
The Attack on Titan season 4 was supposed to release in fall. The date was not confirmed but it was expected to be in October. However, due to a packed schedule of releases in the anime world, the creators of the Attack on Titan confirmed that there will be a delay in the release, much to the dismay of fans all around the world.
Reason for Delay:
As predicted, much of the normal circumstances have been compromised this year due to COVID-19. That remains one of the major reasons behind the release getting delayed. Similarly, there is another theory among fans regarding the delay, which circles the fear that there might be disagreement between the creators of the anime and the channel. Nobody knows the actual reasons for the delay, but Crunchyroll did guess that it was because the creators wanted more time to sort out the ending as this will be the final season of the anime.
Attack on Titan Season 4; Release Date:
However, we update you with the latest news and the latest on the release date is that Attack on Titan will be released on the 7th of December in Japan. This quashes the rumors about the possible release date being pushed back to next year and we can confirm that the release on Crunchyroll will also be done later this year!
The reason for the delay has not been confirmed, however, at the same time, there is more good news for the Attack on Titans fans. Attack on Titans’ creators has confirmed that in the buildup to the final season, there will be an Attack on Titan original movie released in mid-November called Chronicle, which will cover and recap the first three seasons and help the new fans catch up with what they may have missed. We can guess that the delay may have been due to the creators hoping to fit in the release of the movie before they release the final season, but we still have to wait for official confirmation on the delay.
Along with all the excitement in the buildup, there are unconfirmed reports which suggest that the final season might be released in two parts. This would be similar to the release of season 3, and if that is the case then the first part might be released between December and January, and the second part could be released later in 2021.
