After a long hiatus, OnePlus has finally revealed the pricing and availability of its mechanical keyboard that was first announced in February alongside the OnePlus 11 5G. The news comes on the back of the OnePlus Nord 3 5G launch in India.
The OnePlus Keyboard 81 Pro was recently announced in India along with the OnePlus TV Q2 Pro 65 and OnePlus Hub 5G router. The OnePlus Keyboard 81 Pro is the first keyboard by the brand.
OnePlus Keyboard Price in India
The OnePlus Keyboard 81 Pro price in India is set at Rs 17,999. The early access sale for the OnePlus keyboard will take between July 18 and July 24, while the open sale for the Keyboard 81 Pro will start from August 7.
The OnePlus Keyboard 81 Pro will be available in several global markets as well. The OnePlus Keyboard 81 Pro was designed in collaboration with Keychron, a firm that manufacturers mechanical switches and keyboards.
OnePlus Keyboard 81 Pro Design
OnePlus’ mechanical keyboard is equipped with springy thermoplastic elastomer marble-mallow keycaps to make the typing and gaming experience more comfortable. OnePlus utilises aluminium for the bottom case.
The keyboard also has a unique feature to represent the brand, including an Escape and Return button in OnePlus’ traditional red colour. Moreover, there’s a toggle key and a USB Type-C port at the back. The key reassembles the alert slider on OnePlus smartphones and can be used to switch between wired and wireless modes.
The OnePlus mechanical keyboard comes in Dark Grey and Light Grey colour options. OnePlus also allows customers to chose between Winter Bonfire (Red) and Summer Breeze (Blue) switches. The OnePlus Keyboard 81 Pro also has a customisable rotating knob to control things.
OnePlus Keyboard 81 Pro Features
The OnePlus Keyboard offers up to 100 hours of battery life on low brightness courtesy of its 4,000 mAh battery. Additionally, a full charge can take around five hours to complete. The keyboard uses Bluetooth 5.1 and has a wireless range of up to 10 metres.
Additionally, open-source firmware like QMK and VIA allow users to do everything from customising the RGB lighting to remapping the keys. Lastly, the OnePlus Keyboard 81 Pro is compatible with macOS, Windows, and Linux operating systems.
