Nintendo has announced that its digital eShop store will soon be made available in several new countries for the first time, bolstering its recent efforts to provide official access to its products across South America.
The eShop, a store accessible directly on Nintendo Switch systems that offers digital games and online subscriptions, will be going live across Argentina, Colombia, Chile and Peru. A recent post on social media asks fans to stay tuned for more info, with its launch expected “very soon”.
Last December, the eShop launched in Brazil for the first time, offering 400 games from day one. Until these recent changes, Switch owners across South America had limited access to games and services and even had to import consoles from other territories, but things are certainly changing for the better.
We’ll make sure to keep an eye out for any more details on the eShop’s launch in the countries mentioned above and will update this article as we learn more.
